While working his way through college, Tom Bertolet got his start in the construction business by pushing a wheelbarrow down the streets of his hometown to repair sidewalks.

Tom Bertolet, President
Tom serves as President and Founder (Co-Owner) of Bertolet Construction Corporation. He began as Bertolet Cement Contractors in 1975 with his green pickup truck and a strong back, primarily doing side jobs to get through Penn State. He soon became one with the construction industry. In 1988 he incorporated and the company became Bertolet Construction Corporation. Tom has 40 years of experience in the construction industry. He graduated from Wyomissing High School in 1972 and earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Penn State University.
Tom believes in “The Golden Rule” and projects good old Christian ethics throughout his business. He loves the challenge of doing more for less for his customers, not by cutting corners but by being creative. Tom enjoys golf, motorcycle riding, spending time with his family, and serving as the Outreach Ministry Leader for the Shillington Church of Christ. Tom also serves as Treasurer on the Board of Directors for the SPARR Foundation.
As Operations Manager, Bill Weaverling is considered Bertolet Construction’s “quarterback.” You’ll find him hard at work managing projects and scheduling crews.

Bill Weaverling, Operations Manager
Bill has been in the construction industry since finishing drafting school in 1987. He started as a survey rod man and has worked his way up through the ranks of the profession due to his commitment and compassion for the field. In his 24 years of construction industry experience, Bill has worked as a draftsman, carpenter, excavation foreman, site superintendent, estimator, project manager and operations manager. Bill has an Associate’s Degree in Structural Drafting & Design, and he is a 1984 graduate of United High School.
His construction project experience includes: sanitary pump stations, water pump stations, storm sewer projects, playgrounds/parks and foundations for water tanks and various commercial buildings. As Operations Manager, Bill is responsible for project management, scheduling crews and estimating. Bill is part owner and working very hard to become the successor of Bertolet Construction Corporation.
In his leisure time, Bill enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters and supporting the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Bonnie Yeager is our expert and champion when it comes to all the administrative activities that keep a business humming, such as human resources, technology and accounting.

Bonnie Krick, Administration Manager
As Administration Manager, Bonnie is responsible for accounting, human resources and other administrative functions. She joined Bertolet Construction Corporation in 1996. Bonnie graduated from Wilson High School and continued her education at Millersville University, where she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. Bonnie keeps Bertolet Construction current with regulations such as HR, DOT, etc. She also is instrumental in keeping our information technology up-to-date and does a great job with benefits and insurance.
Because of her versatility, Denise Bertolet wears many hats. She’s our Safety Director, Project Management Assistant and our icon for professionalism.

Denise Bertolet, Safety Director & Project Management Assistant
Denise came to Bertolet Construction Corporation in 1998 after working for Organon Teknika (an employer of 500) as an Administrative Assistant to the Vice President of Research and Development in Raleigh, North Carolina. She has brought an air of professionalism to Bertolet Construction. She was instrumental in the formation of BCC's Safety Committee in 2000 and has led the committee since its inception, working on all related safety issues, training, etc. Denise also serves in the capacity of Project Management Assistant, where she works directly with the Operations Manager, setting up new jobs and following them through all stages until completion. She is also responsible for compiling quarterly sales analysis reports, maintaining MSDS sheets and organizing company events.
